Mike Gamble is a guitarist that lives in Washington, DC area where he was born and raised. He started playing guitar at the age of 9 inspired by his father who also played guitar in music ministry, thus making gospel music the foundation that Mike began with. By the time Mike turned 12 years old he started exploring the genres R&B and Funk music. R&B music changed during the 80’s and 90’s becoming more keyboard and synth driven leaving little to nothing for guitarist. This is when he found another genre passion as he began to listen and studying rock bands and guitar virtuoso's. This explains Mikes’ edgy approach on guitar riffs and solos.
Mike is a session musician at Urban Renaissance Records and has performed with many of today’s top R&B/Soul acts such as Chrisette Michelle, Angie Stone, Marsha Ambrosius, Eric Roberson, Leela James, CeCe Peniston , and Algebra Blessett. He is currently performing in the D.C., Baltimore and New York area with several bands and is currently finishing recording with his new rock band Gamble’s Bride. D&A was blessed to be able to bring Mike onto our roster in 2016… we are lucky to have him.
Mike is pictured here in studio with the D&A "Gemini" double guitar stand prototype (coming soon).
